They get the money for the server from the first buyer already. When a game is sold used, one user gone, one more user added. They don't lose anything.

Troll much?
To be honest, I don't find the commercial annoying at all because it's true in some way. What's popular in today's gaming world? Shooters, online competitive multiplayer game, gore, Hollywood style explosions, etc...
Way to milk the series, CAPCOM. When RE 2, 3 came out, the story was awesome and it was surviving horror. Then since 4, it just turned into a shooter with minimum horror and story, let along the tons of spin-offs and remakes.
Well, for a used game, people still need to buy their own console to play it... but then again, I'm really disgusted by all those nickle'n'dime act by publishers this generation.
Why should they get money from resale in the first place? Second-hand market has been norm for car industry, music/movie industry for ages, why should video game be any different?
I don't see why they have the right to do that. A sold game is sold, people have the right to lend it, destroy it or sell it. Have you seen any car manufacturer cripple the car to mar used sale?

They are not supposed to make money that way in the first place.
$9.99 for online pass alone? Way to rip off customers.
You mean fake protest and release balloon to the river? eh...
For FPS, 10~12 hours length is pretty reasonable. It could be flexible depending on the story. But a 3~4 hours campaign is just inexcusable for the $60 price tag. If the game mostly focus on multiplayer, then they could just lower the price instead of charging the full price. You know not everyone's interested in…
How about AC game in Asia? Wait, does Asia have Templar?
Now I remember one part in Brotherhood makes me smile when Ezio tried to speak French to the French army, then was asked where he's from due to his obvious accent. He replied "Montreal."
Netflix is awesome. Only wish you could have more recent movies...(by recently, I mean at least 3 months old movies).
"What is popular in the gaming market today?"
As much as I love DW series, they should stop milking the series and working on new Romance of Three Kingdom game instead!
I don't care about who's faster, but lower the price. That's all what I can ask for.
Why are there so many masked face ninjas?
