I really liked the first one. Compact, solid. Tells an interesting story that is adjacent to the first game without being burdened by lore. Great score, fun action sequences. I feel like it’s the best ‘video game movie’ made, as it succeeds as a movie.

and don’t forget about how similar the Lickers are to Xenomorphs.

Before getting into the why-ing and the obvious money response, can we just appreciate that the first Resident Evil movie was actually pretty darned fun. Like, I can’t remember anything about the sequels, but the first one, with the lasers, the lockdown, the amnesia, and the little girl AI was pretty memorable. Also,

Datto (the best Destiny youtuber, in my opinion) said that Destiny 2 feels just like Taken King did at launch; all the familiar stuff you already loved, but tons of little tweaks and improvements that you’ve been wanting forever.

They’re super awesome adult toys. If you’re a parent don’t have them, keep them away from kids or train your kids to not put things in their mouths. Being a nanny state isn’t a solution. Other things that aren’t good toys for kids. Vibrators, guns, paintball guns, weed wackers. For that matter. Play dough can get

How did this get through markup on the Itty Bitty Titty committee?

I’m in for $3.28 and an Atomic Subs loyalty card.

Jumping the shark is also a moment determined in hindsight. It’s that moment when, looking back, one can point to and say the series’ quality declined to such a degree that it could no longer be redeemed.

Wut.

I’d take a comic fan’s review over a “professional film critic” review any day of the week.

Yeah, okay. I can see that. As an ensemble movie, though, I can’t see how it could take over the whole movie, especially since it is introducing new characters and team members to the movie. I’m expecting Baby Groot to have a few standout moments with Rocket and the rest of the team. Gunn and Marvel have given us

Nah. It’s not going to be silliness that screws up Marvel’s track record. Silly is good. GotG is a shining example of what’s right within the MCU.

Good! I trust James Gunn, GotG could’ve been WAY campier then it was, I would expect the sequel to do a good job too balancing the wacky with the serious.

The notion that one needs to apologize for being wrong about something like this is beyond silly.

FOR FUCK’S SAKE

I’ve heard that it’s so bad that James Gunn has already been signed up to write and direct GotG, Vol. 3.

I’m pretty sure the 4 or 5 post credit sequences will involve some sort of running gag or a motif for why we are getting so many of them. I trust the Gunn.

I remember hearing the the first GOTG was when the MCU would jump the shark...

Many early critics screening reports say this is the single best MCU entry yet.
