I took a similar class (lower div) with the same professor at UCSD. Emotionally naked meant you just had to do something soul-baring or whatever. Only 2 ppl got actually naked in my class.

It’s strange that almost every article that discusses Grundy’s tweets doesn’t actually show them. Here they are for those that are curious:

I call them by a synonym, racism, because it was clearly based on perceived ethnic difference.

I’m curious as to what the “emotionally naked” option implies.

yeah, honestly it kind of sounds like a bullshit alternative

yeah I’m wondering if the student got upset because what she considered emotionally naked, wasn’t considered so by the teacher and now has to do this actually naked thing...

Oh I missed the last line of your post, so I essentially just repeated you. my B. Long day.

Considering that most of the students take the physical option it must be pretty nerve wracking. I suppose you have to share a deep dark secret? I’m tempted to ask what kind of deep dark secrets a 22 year old has, but sadly I can imagine.

Oh I read that as emotionally, naked. Ha

As expected, the TERF contingent shows up (sneering references to “lady brains” are a tell).

The artist in the article admits to catcalling men and women , is she an asshole too?

“God bless you, mami” annoys me so much. Dudes in my area do it all the time to get your attention. The words themselves aren’t offensive to me, it’s just that they’re using it as a one-liner. They don’t say “God bless you” or “hello” or “have a good day” to men or old women or women they aren’t interested in. You’re

I appreciate that we can all have different feelings about catcalling, but it’s never okay for me, in any situation, ever. That scene with the old dudes she describes makes me do a full-body cringe.

Do I have to spell this out for you? Cis gender people are an oppressor group. Trans people are an oppressed group. It’s no more acceptable to say “this women’s festival is for CIS WOMEN ONLY” than it would be to have a festival with only white women, or straight women, or able-bodied women. The examples you’re

If you’re trying to say that there’s no difference culturally between a childhood/adolescence/young-adulthood where the world views you as a boy, and same where the world views you as a girl, I really can’t get with that. It isn’t true.

I'm not talking about women who are forced to wear it. I'm talking about women who choose to wear it. Some women wear it without pressure from family and friends to wear it. It's patronizing to say they're approving oppression.

I always find the nun thing to be a bit of a straw man argument. Nuns are a small subset of certain Christian denominations, who decide as adults to take special vows of chastity and devote their lives to God. Meanwhile, many Muslim girls are strongly encouraged to cover themselves from head to toe as children,

Oh, okay. Very reasoned response. Sorry, the fact that you are ill doesn't convince me that you don't believe in conspiracies or that you have any idea of what you are talking about.

The sources for that article are shit. At first I thought "Wow this looks really well researched".
