A thousand bucks says they were robbed while trying to buy blow.
A thousand bucks says they were robbed while trying to buy blow.
Every single person I know who has been to Rio got robbed at gunpoint. It seems to be a thing there.
I wrote a college paper on The Piano and a classmate friend and I rented the movie on VHS from Blockbuster to take notes from.
I remember.
In my case, the day before my period and certainly during the flow, I feel a burst of mental and physical energy. One of the reasons I went off the Pill- I love that burst. Not sure how common that is.
Since the pill reduces testosterone production I would think that being on the pill would have the opposite effect of steroids. So, not something you would want to take as an athlete.
I know everyone says using bc to skip your period is safe and free of side effects but I did it one time and my hormones were all over the place for months. I'll never do it again. Even if I was competing in the olympics.
I’m a relatively competitive endurance mountain bike racer. I’ve tried hormonal birth control to avoid getting my periods during races but the pre menstrual side effects are worse on the pill than when I don’t use anything. Two weeks of bloating so bad I can’t fit into my pants, incredibly tender breasts and if i miss…
Some athletes believe hormonal bc decreases their aerobic ability and/or causes weight gain. If I were an elite level athlete, in the meet of my career, I wouldn’t be on hormonal bc.
I snorted loudly at this because I’m dating a 32-year-old Scottish man and I really feel that stereotype holds up in a lot of ways. He can be very proper/uptight. I know he loves me, but we sometimes (read: at least twice a week) have a conversation like this:
Ugh, I know a guy who does that for his February birthday. He has like 5 or 6 different events to celebrate himself. One of them he calls the Pajama Jammy Jam, which is basically going to a bar in PJs. This year he was 49, I shudder to think of the levels of narcissism he’ll rise to for his 50th.
More specifically he’s a 35 year old British man who went to an elite single sex boarding school from the age of 13. He’s awkwardness is real.
Can we cut Huddleston a break here? He’s a 35 year old British man—they are famous for being undemonstrative and unemotional. And he’s in the middle of some of the worst kind of media scrutiny. No one on their right mind is going to pull a Tom Cruise to try and “prove” the relationship is real under those conditions.
I think you’re onto something. I get terribly nauseous on takeoff and landing if I dare try to focus on anything, but once we’re cruising, I'm fine to read.
I find sitting sideways to be worse — especially on DC Metro. Of course, it helps if the track isn’t on fire that day.
That’s a good question! I imagine it’s because despite the fact that you’re going VERY fast in an airplane, all of your sensory signals say you’re essentially still. You don’t FEEL the motion as much when you’re at cruising altitude, and the aircraft is large enough that you’re not getting enough “I’m moving” messages…
And then to have it described as the “bigger prize.”
Wait...so how would the IOC even know if Lochte got held up or not? Were they there? Or did they just flat-out deny it for optics purposes?
