No, but I read one that sounds very similar called “Movie Star by Lizzie Pepper” (that’s the title; the actual author is Hilary Liftin). It’s also pretty clearly inspired by Cruise and Holmes. I’m putting The Actress on my book list—sounds good!

This is one nice thing about adopting an adult cat from a shelter—you can read the personality summaries of each cat to see which one would be a good fit for you. If the shelter has an open play area room where the cats are out of their cages and free roam around, you can go in, sit on the ground and then see which

I was just scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else remembered that one. And another poster beat me to mentioning Parent Trap 3 and Parent Trap: Hawaiian Honeymoon.

I was wondering if anyone else here remembered those!

You don’t have to like Taylor or her music, but this is ludicrous. She would still have been a massive star. She writes hit song after hit song after hit song. None of the songs on 1989 had to do with Kanye.

?

I don’t think this a fair criticism of her. The songs she was writing eight years ago as a country artist have a totally different sound to Look What You Made Me Do.

What about liking only parts of Texas? I travel for work and have enjoyed Dallas each time I’ve been there. I was glad to see that Dallas went for Clinton over Trump! Austin is supposed to be awesome as well.

I’m feeling very lucky right now to live in the northeast.

To each their own—I don’t think celebrities are under some kind of obligation to say who they voted for if they don’t want to, the same as anyone else. If anyone paying attention to this election somehow came to the conclusion that Trump was the better candidate over Clinton, then I don’t really know that who Taylor

I think so too. If she had publicly supported Clinton, the criticism would then be that “she’s only doing that to appear more feminist.”

I would have to disagree. Would it have been great if Taylor had publicly supported Clinton over Trump? Yes. But honestly, anyone who allows their vote to be swayed because of what their favorite celebrity said to do probably shouldn’t have been voting in the first place.

I’ve been experiencing some other perceptions at work, too. As I’ve been getting older, more and more, my male colleagues seem to assume that as a woman, my career somehow naturally means less to me than it does to them. I see this mostly with the men who have more conservative political beliefs. They seem to view

Oh, I see what you meant now. I read it differently before. Thanks.

I think we still disagree on some issues, but I appreciate your response. (Sometimes when you disagree with someone on the internet, you have no idea what kind of reply you’re going to get back!) I think it’s an uncomfortable issue to discuss in a lot of ways, maybe for men and women both.

Um, okay.

I can only express my own views of this, of course. But I think comparing porn to movies is, in a way, comparing apples to oranges. When I watch a movie where a character is murdered, the reason I’m watching the movie isn’t because I get sexually excited by murder. This is different from someone who gets off on

“nude portraits of Ivanka”

We are totally fabulous!

Somewhat off topic, but as a fellow Southpaw, the thing that’s caught my eye over the years is how he holds a pen. I thought of it again looking at the White House pics in another post today. He tends to hold his hand so that his knuckles are vertical, whereas I tilt my hand so that my knuckles are more horizontal.
