Sad to miss the Jalopnik party this year. I made it to the first one at the Draught House when John Hennessey showed up.

Ugg. Just like being a regular dev with the bonus of being publicly demeaned and ridiculed for it. Sign me up!

Like the random woman in the Home Depot parking lot with the CHL shooting at the shoplifter. “but ther doing something u-legal”.

Yeah... I just need to practice mostly, but it’s always a panic drop (sudden weight shift).

I’m working on finding out.

It strikes me odd that they went with the waterproof liner with a messenger bag. I would have thought a more briefcase interior would have been more useful. If anything maybe a waterproof laptop case?

I started when I was 31. So yeah. My first bike was a free Ninja 250.

What do you think of the R20 vs the Urban?

Neat. I have been thinking about getting a R20 for commuting (the R25 is cinched all the way down for just my laptop). Before my R25, I used a series of messenger bags for years.

TIL. Interesting. I’m sure it’s no CB750. It’s still 72hp tho (Ninja 250 is 34hp).

:-D

The V-twin dirt track racers are pretty insane too.

I really want to transplant a CBR250 or 300 motor (which are singles) into a CB160 project in the garage.

Forgive me. I’m home sick and my brain is not 100%. But counter-counter-point, a beginner would not be well served on many of those inline 4’s which are not superbikes, but still heavy, powerful bikes.

Forgot about those. Triples == some are insane/others sane. It’s a dividing line. Triumph Speed Triple is insane. And this is for a beginner. I’m not saying superbike riders are insane (although a lot are ;-D)

Adv bikes are the worst to control and low or no speed. I used to drop my KLR once a month. Usually in the driveway. Dropped KTM Adventure 3 times now, once doing a U-turn at really low speeds, but dropped it really hard.

Twins and singles == sane, 4 cyl == insane.

Why I got an Arai Defiant (not a sport bike rider).
