Shadow 750 is a good choice for a cruiser. Cruisers tend to have larger displacement engines that don’t put out a lot of power and tend to be rather heavy.

My 99’ KLR650 was $200/year. My new (to me) 04 KTM Adventure 950 is $400/year. You definitely take a hit for newer bikes too not just cc’s.

I love how Detroit has no inspection. Of course you see a lot of beautiful older cars, but you see a lot of non-road-worthy cars either on or broken down beside the the road.
