The funny thing is there are liberals in every major city in Texas. Houston has had at least two democratic majors (current one is a lesbian, I believe). Apparently Dallas has quite the gay scheme. So I guess the issue is conservatives push everyone else around for too long.

My guy says we should leave Texas, but what we really need to do is try to get more democrats elected to the state government. There are only so many "conservative voters".

The reason the SCOTUS didn't hear the prop 8 appeal is because they determined that gay marriage causes no harm, which was the argument of prop 8 supporters.

I think conservatives would be mighty surprised if we lived in this puritanical society that they seem hell bent on creating.
