:-)

This whole post was a setup so I could again point out to Jezebel readers that my wife and I are the current owners of his house from FNL.

Hm. Had my 360 for 7 years and have never paid for Live Gold.

Where can I get the free medical degree this guy got?

Meh. I am NOT chomping at the bit to buy either next gen system. I've probably got a couple more years to catch up on all the 360 games I've wanted to play. I'll wait and see what these systems do and the policies their manufacturers adopt after the systems are actually in the wild...

It seems to me like Xbox might change their pricing/game policy now that they know what PS4 is doing, but since you can preorder the xbox one, I guess not.

Agreed. Anyone who was using Thunderbird is stuck with Postbox. The native mail client seems to be best thing for me the moment, but it's definitely meh.

Did anyone install the Apple TV iOS beta? Was wondering if there's anything interesting on there..? Probably just updated support for Mavericks' Airplay.

Meh. Lots of complaints. Apple has never given us exactly what we want as professionals. A year ago Apple was going to discontinue the Mac Pro all together. If you don't like it, find something else that works.

If I blur my eyes, I see the PS2.

Surprising not to see VW on this list, given the closeness they've had with Apple over the years.

Has anyone been able to get into the developer portal?

My dad bought a knock-off in the 70's that we still have. It's a little worse for wear, but still looks nice. No idea what brand it was tho.

Vertical actually makes a lot of sense for coding too. But a lot of people have adapted to wide screens with two windows side-by-side.

I think you mean "ATX Television Festival". I'm sorry we didn't hear about this sooner. Maybe next year.

Didn't see anyone mention Ruby or Rails. I started out as an iOS developer a few years ago, but have transitioned into mostly Rails (tho still some iOS & now Rubymotion). Really fun language to learn & developers are much in demand. http://tryruby.org

I have an industrial design degree. Did furniture design for 6 years, then switched to programming. I highly recommend checking out Ruby/Rails. It's nuts what people are being paid to develop in Rails. There's more work than developers here in Austin, at least. And the community is really a great group of people. http:

My biggest concern is a fancy looking locking that's outward facing, like a big red flag telling people you've got expensive electronics inside.

Austin would certainly like a Tesla dealer, but.. oh well..
