In a way, I agree. The multiple timelines thing feels sort of cheap. BUT, I also think it’s interesting that the show puts us in the position of the hosts, remembering pieces of our ‘past’ (past episodes) trying to put the pieces together and make sense out of what we can remember.

You’re right. When Ford, Teddy and MiB had their little sit down a few episodes ago, MiB does talk about how the hosts have changed since his first visit to the park. The hosts that William is interacting with definitely seem like more advanced, later generation, ‘upgraded’ models.
