It's amazing that anyone would think it was OK to make a comment at a time like that.

My jaw literally dropped at that one. Damn, that is cold.
Not sure if this counts, but...one evening I was getting ready for a big date and wearing some new clothes...skinny black pants and a bright pink satin shirt. I thought it was pretty cute. I came downstairs to ask my mom’s opinion. My uncle was over for dinner. He looked me up and down and said... ‘Well...you don’t…
Please do! I really need a decent humidifier for my bedroom that doesn't become toxic with out daily scrubbing. Who has time for that?
You say that, but...I’ve been in this position a number of times myself. The best thing to do is be honest about your concerns as early on as possible, then back off. You plant the seed that says, maybe this guy’s not that terrific...then they feel more comfortable coming to you later on when things are getting worse.
Do you have to clean it all the time, though? Every humidifier I've ever had needed to be scrubbed and bleached frequently to prevent that disgusting slimy pink mold stuff from growing.
My husband’s company is switching over to the “unlimited time off” model for executive-level employees in 2016. We’ll see how that goes. We’ve joked that he should try taking ridiculous amounts of time off just to see what would happen. The best part of this, though, is that they are paying out his entire accrued PTO…
That's a way better pic. Maybe because it has two redheads...
OK...I’m confused. I see 4 blondes - Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett, and Helen Mirren - out of 8 women. How did you get to 75%?
It's hilarious that the award is a mirror.
I wonder if it’s easier for a person with broader shoulders to wear a blazer cut that way? A women’s modern-cut blazer might be uncomfortable in the shoulders and armholes. Just a thought.
No more BCO??? Monday will never be the same again.
That's a good point. I wash my hands way more than my makeup brushes. And those disposable sponges seem to absorb more liquid foundation than they deposit on your skin.
I’m embarrassed for them, and I wasn’t even there. It reminded me of my husband’s previous boss, who had a temdency to cry during stressful meetings. He really liked her, and had a great deal of respect for her, but always said she looked terribly weak when she let her emotions get the best of her.
Yes, you’re absolutely right. I just think if you’re among the students who are leading this discussion and engaging with the administration to present a list of the issues you see on campus and possible ways to address these problems, you’ll need all the credibility you can muster. Tears aren’t going to get you…
Exactly...
That's what I was thinking. It's fucking Glamour Magazine. Let it go. BTW...I hope to one day win the Nobel Peach Prize for my fabulous Peach Buckle with Raspberries. Seriously...it's really good.
He might be well-liked by his students, but still have conflicts with administration, other people in his department, etc. I don’t have any first-hand knowledge of life as an academic, but I hear higher education can be an office-politics nightmare. I guess I’m just saying that we don’t know all the circumstances…
No, I haven't heard of it. Is it good for nausea due to motion sickness?
He reminds me of James Carville...and that has absolutely nothing to do with anything. You're welcome.
