it’s good option honestly before you decide to save and preparing to spend tons of cash at 2025 for this car

it’s to avoid “Never meet your heroes” unless either you’re an investor, Die-Hard Fast and Furious Fans or that Skyline GT-R R34 is your to-have-list-before-i-die

Yes yes, you don’t need to tell me how great it

your point ??

just wait for 2025 then you can see that both Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 and Toyota Supra RZ will worth double if not triple than BMW M3 E46 and Ferrari 550 of the same year

seriously what the hell is Toyota thinking ?

They give 260hp turbocharged engine for yaris but refuse to give turbo for 86 ?

Why not this sedan below ?

can’t wait for some FnF fanboi to say 2JZ-GTE or RB26DETT

boi, after read this, I can’t wait to see most FnF fans buy Skyline GT-R R34 without inspection at 2025

all they need to do is just make a proper 3-series beater named Skyline BNR35 (no, not CBA or DBA R35) just like BNR34 and offer it in 4 bodystyle (SUV, Sedan, Coupe and Wagon)

Really ?

No C32B ?
No 2JZ-GTE VVT-i ?

Not even the legendary RB26DETT N1 or the limited RB28DETT Z2 ??

so you guys tell me that Toyota are willing to make yaris into 2-door hot hatch and give it modern turbocharged engine along with 4WD and yet refuse to add more than 5hp for 86 ??

I bet BAT will start auction Skyline GT-R R34 the moment 2025 come

any1 bet how much it’s gonna worth ? probably more than $250k for even non Nur version

All Nissan need is just reselling Skyline R34 again along with full factory warranty and riding the big hype around it till 2025 while counting incoming cash flowing inside, not making a lukewarm luxury brand to compete with Lexus and Acura

They decided to sell Skyline V37 again instead of using Q50 / Q60 which is

No Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 ??

though it’s harsh but that’s what I’m trying to imply. It doesn’t need to be “rip your face off” fast, just adequately fast. It’s not always about horsepower or torque since MX-5 RF can be faster than 86 with measly 180hp (5.8s and 14.5s if I’mt not wrong)

Both MX-5, Cayman S and Huracan LP-580 shows that. They’re not

It’s really kinda funny (or sad) that even good condition of GTO VR4 facelift worth probably less than 25,000k USD while good condition Supra facelift VVT-i can worth 100k USD easily, and other such as mint Skyline GT-R R34 M-Spec Nur can exceed more than 250,000k USD or around twice of Ferrari F430 of the same year

I

exactly, it’s not about “just 200hp” but it’s about “SLOW”

when 180hp MX-5 RF can go faster then 86 is not so impressive after all.

I could go for other model such as :
- Mustang Ecoboost which despite much larger like a boat but still handle just fine and also faster
- Civic Si which has 200hp but much more torque and

And the people like you is minority, not being harsh and disrespectful but from point of business, selling sportcar in SUV era is already hard, not to mention 86 case or probably Supra case (we gonna see in next few years ahead)

Sure the only thing WRX did better was accelerate and carry people, but how bout MX-5 RF ?

really ? because based on Motortrend when they pitted Integra Type-R and Celica GT-S, both hit 6.2 vs 6.6s and 14.8s vs 15.2s

say even if 86 facelift can do 14.5s, it’s still not full second slower, and Celica GT-S is just 20 year old FWD

yes 86 is marginally faster though

why am I not suprised ?

These days, people are flocking to SUV and Sportcar is the very least concern unless it has something that really stand out to make people consider buying it (ex : 720s for sheer performance, F8 because of Ferrari Brand, Corvette for best bang for the buck, etc)

Here’s my point of view regarding

Nissan Skyline R34, not just a GT-R trim but entire trim

Had it survive longer, it probably will have a much more bigger name than 3-series, something that not IS / RC and current Skyline can do

Hmm either this 456 or NSX NA1 (with same pop-up headlight style) of the same year despite NSX only have half of the cylinder of 456
