Out of topic but it’s quite shocking to see the difference in price of used M3 E46 compare to used Skyline GT-R R34 of the same year

both are Coupe based on their Sedan Line-up, both are capable and fast at its time, both are good looking

but now one of them only cost less than brand new Civic Type-R while the other…

Nissan Skyline GT-R > F360 of the same year

1. It’s Coupe / 2-door sedan so it’s more spacious and practical
2. It will attract much more attention than F360
3. It’s appreciating and probably worth 4 times of used F360 in upcoming 2025
4. It’s RB26 bro (boring overused argument, can tuned to 1000hp and beat Ferrari)

Yeah it’s a lot of money for GT-R R35 but trust me if it’s Skyline GT-R R34 then nobody gonna bats an eye (at least until 2025)

And I even prefer GT-R much more than Skyline GT-R therefore it kinda make me sad that about this

as you said, it’s just a japanese 3-series with various bodystyle (coupe, sedan and probably wagon) but somehow Skyline GT-R coupes are much more popular than GT-R which is a dedicated bespoke platform sportcar

joke aside, following popularity of Skyline R34, I think Nissan should had made Skyline R35 instead of V35, V36 and V37 (GT-R is ok but probably don’t use R35 code since it has become its own model) to become a true 3-series beater that not even E46 come close to R34's ridiculous popularity
