Actually, it's the third. The first tenet is, "Always treat every weapon as if it were loaded." Because occasionally it is. The second is, "Keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until you are ready to fire," and the fourth is, "Keep your weapon on safe at all times until ready to fire."

Cue Top Gear test in 3... 2...

This is not the first time Ford has experimented with using aluminum in large quantities for a vehicle. (Link is a PDF I've had for a while talking about the AIV sable. Most of us SHO enthusiasts are at least vaguely aware of it.)

That wasn't a crash.

IT'S A FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP

I got a book about F-14 Tomcats ("Tomcat Alley") signed by all of the last pilots of the plane on my 05-06 cruise on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. With a handwritten foreword by the strike group Admiral, who played as a Tomcat pilot on Top Gun!

Fat guy almost touchdown, c. 2010

He retired because he got scared.

There are days when I have absolutely no recollection whatsoever of having actually driven to work.

No, really.

The wedding went well until the reception, where Brandi kept getting drunk and running around ripping her shirt off.

We are at war with Eastasia.

Franziskaner's good (I find that it tastes a little too much like bananas, but otherwise really good), and if you like that, I think you will also like Konig Ludwig Weissbier. It is very similar in taste to the Franzer but I think it's a bit more mellow.

Yes, I would hate for you to have to drag out your old, first-gen, weaksauce card so I can demolish it with the magic that is Ti-VCT. VTEC is always kicked in with this engine, yo.

That's just the stock GT motor. The BOSS 302 motor goes to 7,500 stock and will go to about 7,800 before the computer runs out of speed. The engine will do around 8,000rpm without too much fuss. And that's a 4,976cc engine.

Damn, looks like I'm gonna have to lower the rev limiter from 7,300rpm on my Coyote 5.0...

As a counterpoint:

Bullshit, everybody on Jalopnik knows that these are what save your life.

Anybody who has performed maintenance on a Grumman piece of aviation machinery (especially the F-14) knows that movements similar to those of the video are crucial to successful repair of its avionics.

Not the way Americans drive. (We drive like shit, mostly)
