And I quote - "However awesome the stunt was—and let's hope the helmet cam's video pops up on YouTube soon—the restaurant is still waiting for the guys to pay their bill. Good luck with that!"

Oh, it's gonna deform, alright.
Does anybody think there might be any connection to the fact that this year is the peak of the sun's 11-year solar cycle? I'm not saying it is, I'm genuinely curious.
Google "The Butterfly Effect", and you'll see why weather patterns turn into a random number generator after about a week. Weather patterns are pseudo-random, in that they're formed based on rules and patterns, but so many that there's no fuckin' way we can account for them all.
I comment every once in a while, but I managed to lose my star here and get banned over at Gawker (not much of a loss, actually) so I've been laying low lately. Also, after I got back from Iraq I got a life again... ;)
THEN WHO THE HELL IS JAR-JAR
Makes me all the more glad I decided I didn't wanna touch any of that with a 10 foot pole.
So these four guys gave this restaurant more publicity in the past 24 hours than they've had in their entire existence, and they're stamping their feet over the bar bill? Which is, what, AU$100, max? If I only paid $100 for worldwide exposure I'd be pissing myself in joy.
So basically the opinion everybody got was that the iPad 3 is Apple's Star Wars: Episode 1?
That's all well and good, but Apple, for all their might and power, can't change Ohm's law. If it's 10W at 1 Ampere, then it must be supplying 10 volts - twice the UNIVERSALLY ACCEPTED power of the UNIVERSAL serial bus, which means it will fry anything else that's plugged into it. Something isn't right.
The J79s, as well as most afterburning jets, have 5 different zones, or levels, of afterburner. As an afterburner is comprised simply of a large pipe that dumps raw fuel into the exhaust, the different levels simply control how much fuel is dumped in. You generally only use zone 5 when you're doing a max weight…
Well, wing-in-ground is about the width of the wings, right? IIRC the BUFF's wings were 180 feet wide, or about 6 times higher than that particular BUFF was flying at!
Perhaps you should read up on basic electricity theory.
But all those vaccines, those are totally safe, right?
Any word on charging power requirements? I know there was a big brouhaha when the iPad 2 required, what, 2 amps to charge? I can't remember. One could reasonably expect that the iPad 3 would require more than that. Like, 70% more, say. That'd be a little less than 3.5 amps, or 17 watts @ 5V.
Hah! Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I've gotten - and lost - my star more than once already. I'm not too worried about it. If Jesus wants to give me a star then awesome! But, uh, he might be the one that took it away the last time. WHOOPS!
This also reminds me of a story my dad told me once (speaking of Vietnam-era shenanigans)-
Interesting fact:
