Your experience mimics mine exactly. The new keyboard lets you charge it and use it, which makes sense... and seems like a basic requirement for any peripheral. I can’t believe Apple screwed this thing up so badly. If I don’t remember to charge it over night once a week, it bites me in the ass every. damn. time.
