Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't giz write that the kin was proof that microsoft "understood the internet" and other companies, namely, apple, didn't? Funny because I read that Apple sold over a million iphone 4s in the past few days. Whats a million divided by 500? ; )

@Sam Edwards: This is gizmodo - you can't talk rationally about anything apple related anymore. They're the devil and they're being eating alive by android, remember?

@gijenny01: Great point. Even outside of tech, this love/hate dichotomy exists in every company in a capitalistic society. You love their products but you despise their practices, their attitude, in other words, what they do to remain competitive in a capitalist market. Capitalism isn't about making friends, its about

Good article overall, but the Apple doesn't understand the internet point is laughable. If you guys let go of this stupid bias I'd enjoy this articles a lot more.

@something_unique_and_descripti...: They may not have been vital when the iPhone was launched but they are now that Apple, WinMo's competitor, has the biggest and arguably best collection of apps in the world. Nothing is important until your competitor has it and people want it.
