I tried this on some expired food at the gas station the other day. Offered to buy a couple 2 or 3 day expired snacks for half price. They said they couldn’t sell them to me. So I asked if I could have them for free - they said it was illegal to do that as well.

Yup - I literally pulled up my BoA app in front of the teller and answered their questions.  Plus we’re talking about a joint account so I have no idea what the last 3 charges were off the top of my head.  That was some serious fuckery.

Cute that you think all that. Outside of my mortgage they don’t make a cent off me. I pay off my CC each month and I make thousands of dollars in rewards off that card, it’s the best on the market right now (Sapphire Reserve). I pay no fees for my checking or savings because they have my mortgage.

I’ve got 1 account with a credit union.  Close enough that I walk to their branch when I need things.  They’re great!
