Disappointed... No entry for “A Song of Ice and Fire”. I want to believe!

A Teensy is to an Arduino as a Ferrari is to a Beetle.

One more necessary ingredient: rum.

I thought “Build something fun” might include stuff like robots and synthesizers, but no—it’s just the same boring choices you get with the other selections.

Anyone with simple, inexpensive sous-vide gear.

Another food shopping problem—my wife buys about 1/3 of the stuff she samples from Costco’s demos, despite much of it being overpriced and/or unhealthy. I used to be able to sneakily remove it from the cart, but she caught on and now checks when we get to the register. To make things worse, I can’t resist consuming

I prefer to leave my bottles half full.

You take on a plumbing repair, and an old, corroded pipe disintegrates in your hands. Because of the snow you can’t get out to Home Despot for a replacement, so you spend the next couple of days with no running water.

“Most store-bought cooking sprays contain soy lecithin, an emulsifier that can come from both plants and animals. You can find it at your local health food store, but if most of your cookware is nonstick, it’s probably best to skip it since lecithin can cause a sticky buildup on pans.”

“Oregano”. Riiiight...

Peel the shell off shrimp?! What a waste of good roughage! I’m squeamish enough to pull the head off (unless it’s deep fried. Yum!), but I always eat the shell if it’s still there. It can be quite tasty, and as a bonus you won’t notice the vein.

Yeah, really excessive concentrations of THC.

I would give up all other software (except 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 a web browser) before I’d give up Excel. Using it to automatically generate big, well-formatted blocks of program code from raw data has saved me countless hours of effort. Or graphic files for CNC routing and laser cutting. Or just about anything else that can be

Just as long as it’s real oil and not PAM. That stuff is to cookware as WD-40 is to locks.

That hasn’t been viewed anywhere near the 1 gigatimes it deserves. Get on it, folks! Spread the word!

It makes you someone whose family needs for you to have death by road rage insurance.
