If you buy 3 months of Sling in advance you get a free Amazon Fire stick. I know it’s a pain to swap devices every time you want to watch something on that app, but might be worth it.

I used butter on my last batch of butternut squash ravioli, which holds up about as well as water (although not quite as nicely as egg in my experience) and adds great flavor!

It actually does do that! I have Mint track my checking account, 2 savings accounts, 2 credit cards, multiple student loans, and my retirement accounts. It’s great because they break it out graphically for you and you can tag transactions the way you want and it lets you know how much you spend on say, “Alcohol and

I’ve been using Rocket Italian in conjunction with Duolingo. Rocket Italian is also less expensive than Rosetta Stone so if you don’t like it it’s a less costly mistake. The other thing I like about it is that you can download the audio lessons, since Rosetta Stone won’t work for me when I’m underground on the train.

Doh! Sorry.

There is! I turned off the default Keep To Front function though.

Have you ever taken a look at the published museum catalogs for exhibitions you particularly enjoy? My kind of human!

Museum curation: every time you tell me “I don’t really read labels, they’re boring” it makes me want to die inside. Do you know how many degrees someone had to get, languages they had to learn, and how many books they had to read to find out about this really really cool, 3000 year-old artifact? And how long it took

Giant’s Causeway! It’s pretty far north but totally worthwhile. Also, a lot of pubs have live music at night so keep an eye out during your days for posters or sidewalk chalkboards with announcements.

Not disagreeing with your main point, but ‘the greatest generation’ actually refers to the parents of boomers, who grew up during the Great Depression and WWII.

Actually the mandatory rinse that all U.S. egg producers are required to do washes away the natural protective cuticle of the egg, so they would spoil too fast if you left them on the shelves. Page 2 of this Forbes article explains it better than I could. http://www.forbes.com/sites/nadiaaru…

Oh man, and because you're the child you wind up ceding every time? I totally know those feels...

I think a lot of people with siblings who grow up in even slightly dysfunctional houses just let things devolve into screaming matches or give people the silent treatment. I know a shocking number of adults who still resort to this kind of behavior, sadly.
