many people who don't play videogames tend to apply real world morals and physics when put in a certain situation in a videogame. they don't understand that doing so in a videogame is difficult. the difference with videogames and other forms of media is interactivity.

the chick is actually naked snakes mentor, she was known as " the boss". in MGS 3 (snake eater) naked snake was tasked with killing "the boss" and since he did he was given the moniker " Big boss". big boss was already kind of old in MGS Peace Walker so it makes sense he is even older in this game.
