Yeah, tbh most of the comments here are pretty dumb. Hamburg is going to do this slowly and carefully. They aren't going to randomly ban cars in the city center. I imagine even then it will be possible to get permits for certain things if needs be.

It is sorta sad but I had a look through the parts list for a stereo. I don't want anything fancy but a basic stereo would be nice. The car is genuinely affordable and it isn't going to lose much value.

Your Goddam right. Cars are shit unless your are having fun in them (sex or driving fast). An excellent public transport system is something really important in a good city. Being able to go out and get drunk or be able to get efficiently around a large city requires great public transport.
