Ok, it’s making me crazy that no one has pointed out that it’s 4 hours from New Iberia to Alabama, not 7. Plus, Mississippi is between Louisiana and Alabama, so I’m not sure why that wasn’t an option? Not defending the law in Louisiana, but we don’t need to exaggerate facts- it undermines the argument.
