The title should simply be "deglazing, do it."

I suspect they could have avoided this backlash entirely if they'd titled the article something like : Deglazing - An Easy Cooking Technique You Can Learn in Ten Seconds.

No no no no no. If you have burnt bits, you leave that in the pan, it is ruined and will taste awful and make everything else taste awful too. That brown stuff at the bottom however, that's when you do this.

Exactly hasty. Lifehacker is pretending this basic CENTURIES old cooking technique is some obscure lifehack method. I fully expect them next to run an article on how you can alter the flavor by sprinkling on this mystery dust extracted from earth called...salt!

Actually the point is that deglazing is one of the building blocks of cooking. To suggest it as a "lifehack", and that too with the title "add a little water on heat to scrape crust from pan," is just silly. Further, the name deglazing is buried at the bottom of an otherwise junk article. The title should simply be

Congratulations Lifehacker, you just invented deglazing.

The only true difference between the two is that BlendTec is a little more high-tech and usable to a younger demographic. Vitamixes tend to be more popular because of their "lever and button" simplicity

While I understand that budget is a huge factor, it really is time to update out of the SDTV CRT generation of TV Sets. You can pick up decent HDTVs fairly cheap in cost, but they may(?) only be the same size you're running now (19 inch to 25 inch) for under $300. If you've got a higher budget, then you can go larger

Amen to that. Our family purchased a Blendtec for many of the reasons listed. While I balked at paying almost $400 for an appliance that resembles blenders that sell at department stores for under $20, I've been very satisfied with the performance and ease of use of the Blendtec.

Snagged it last week at Best Buy for that same price :D

Ugh, I'll try running it through a link shortener. I think our CMS is messing with the raw link. Try this.

It seems Zelda Four Swords is only in America available?

Try now, I think I fixed it.

Passport size Midori Travellers Notebook - minimalist design, ingenious elastic design lets you add two or three notebooks or accessories. (Mine is usually a yearly planner, a notebook for, well, notes.)

Gone Home is way overrated imo.

I didn't have the opportunity to play many games on this list, unfortunately. However, there are 18 games listed and Super Mario 3D World is nowhere to be found. Weird. Even more after reading Kitaku's review.

I was looking for something like this a couple of weeks ago after getting my new phone, but then I found a simple rubber band sufficed. $8 saved. :-)

To summarize below: (1) do amazing work, (2) network outside of your group, (3) do 30-40 hours’ worth of work (even if it’s not with your group).
