I guess the problem is the desensitization argument has historically been ridiculed. Are we to now take it seriously because modern critical race theory has its talons in the issue? It’s literally the same arguments we rejected when they came from social conservatives.

I’ve been an AV Club regular since ‘98 and at this point the only thing that keeps me coming back is habit with a dash of masochism.

As long as a celebrity has a take that the AV Club disapproves of, the clickbait will find a way.
