This is how I learn of most shows’ existence these days, either on streaming services or regular TV.

I was going to sign up because somenof NBC's press releases seemed to imply that Peacock would be the only way to watch the Tour de France, which is my favorite annual sporting event. But then I realized it was still on USA network, which I could just DVR. No thanks, Peacock.
Wasn’t there a movie with a similar premise, except it was a killer bed?
Anyone else beside me never connect Drew from Deliverance as the same actor who played Jones in Robocop? I’m so used to seeing Ronnie Cox play sneering assholes in a suit and tie that I completely missed that he was the most gentle, low-key member of the group in Deliverance.
I’m a little tired of dealing with people who justify their selfish asshole behavior as some kind of grand moral stand against... um, against, something something, the evils of a repressive society, when all they’re doing is just annoying other people and changing the world for the better not one iota.
Also in the original, the fox hangs and seemingly kills Pinocchi at the end of one of the stories, although the author had him saved at the last minute in the next edition of the serial.
That's the one I was thinking of, thanks.
Wasn't there another famous person recently whose death announcement was premature? Although if I'm remembering correctly, this person did die shortly thereafter.
while he was typecast as a villain it’s a real shame he wasn’t given more good guy roles because he could exude decency and warmth as well or better than any actor out there.
Also surprising that the article used a picture from long before he was famous. If you weren’t quite sure who he was, you probably wouldn’t recognize him from that pic.
By the way, what is a Thuringer in western NY? Your description makes me think its something different from a Thüringer Bratwurst from Germany.
Not being familiar at all with the demographics of Brooklyn, is this situation at all common, now or when the show was on? Seems pretty insufferable, with all the people having trouble making ends meet on their own terms in that city.
Man, this is a rough day. First Bob Rafelson, then David Warner, now Paul Sorvino.
Loving or hating Lena Dunham feels so 2013.
Probably the best actor to unfortunately appear in an MST3K-level film.
This. He was so warm yet believable in that role that it’s hard to imagine he spent most of career playing villains and weirdos.
Also, there was an article on CNN about a couple that was just sentenced for a “Pay It Forward”-type GoFundMe scam...
True that. He was in a film awful enough to feature on MST3K, but even there, he gave an earnest performance that was far better then the movie deserved.
Fortunately, much of that bleeds over into South Jersey as well.
Not that he was a superstar, but far less prominent and consistent actors usually get more mention when they die. I didn’t even realize he died before reading your post.
