Alright, I do have an issue with Cheery.

Can you imagine being a scriptwriter egotistical enough to have a copy of Terry Pratchett’s Guards! Guards! and Night Watch to hand and thinking, “No, I’m a much, much better writer than Pratchett. I’ll just use the names and make up my own stuff.” The arrogance of it is absolutely breathtaking.

The novelty of the superhero crossover has largely faded...

I think I would start with The Mule, and then tell earlier Foundation tales in flashbacks.

Jared Harris is absolutely perfect for Seldon.

The one dude is standing with his feel together. He’s not a strong link in any phalanx.

Maybe they can just use guns to take out the people who hide with zombies with close range weapons, just a thought

I think they are keeping with the more flexible stance since they might not always face just the dead.  Especially when led by the Whisperers.  Also why is no one putting crossbars on their spears?

I disagree for the reasons others have posted below, but I do want to thank you for starting a debate about what ancient military formations would work best against zombie hordes. This is the discussion I didn’t know I needed.

That whole scene was kind of cool but didn’t make sense. The plunging fire that they seemed to be using is only effective against humans who can feel pain. The zombies need head shots. And the spikes on the shields seem like they’d be more bother than use since they could get caught on zombies but probably have little

Problem is part of the reason the pikes keep people at bay is they don’t want to get stabbed. Zombies are just going to shiskebab themselves on your pike, and it’s so long getting it back into use will be tricky. Shorter spear means after you stab a zombie you can get your spear back to work. Also more mobile and can

I prefer a good old hammer and anvil. Or maybe a reverse crescent with Libyan spear-men on the flanks.

DeGromm and not Thor? That would shock me. Syndeggard seems like most likely option.

Used to water Nelson Doubleday’s 3 office plants in upper mid-town Manhattan NYC once a week during the late 90s. He seemed a very congenial & friendly older man who didn’t flaunt his wealth ie much better than the cheap-ass & broke Wilpon family. Have always been a NL baseball fan btw.

Speaking as a Mets fan, the ONLY way this makes sense is if the Mets are about to trade Jacob DeGrom and need a stable pitcher to take his place in the rotation. That said...I don’t think our GM has the guts -- or the permission from the Wilpons -- to make that trade.

Owning the Yanks.

How long do you think they kept a straight face when they told him he got traded to New York?

Ah, let them use John Williams’s score, just this once. :)

I am freaking giddy right now. Brandon Routh IS Superman to me. Returns was flawed, sure, but it got Superman right and Routh’s layered performance came at the right time as a depressed 16-year-old dealing with life stuff and got me out of my cynicism. I can’t wait to see him in the suit again. Now, to get him on the

The Orioles are the dreary, regular kind of shitty. The Mets opened this season honestly believing they’d contend for a championship! Their dipshit general manager, who calls in game-day decisions from his damn couch, told the rest of the NL East to “come get us.”
