If the president announces that he wants to send the navy to Bohemia, and the general points out that Bohemia lacks a seacoast, that’s not undermining. It’s telling it like it is — which Trump is supposed to be in favor of, remember?

I was lucky enough to be at Target Field in 33-degree weather in 2013 for Harvey’s absolutely overpowering start against the Twins, and it was one of the best starts by a young pitcher I’d ever seen. Ever since then, however, it feels like Harvey is on the express train to Knucklehead City. And that’s sad.

And yet, we’re all supposed to believe in the divine power of the Mercurochrome...sorry, meant to say, Bloody Sock.

These “standby” seats must be incredibly profitable for the airlines. This only makes any kind of sense — even a Kafkaesque sense — if they’re under strict orders to give standby passengers preferential treatment at all times.

Took me rather an embarrassingly long while to realize it. Thanks!

And you consider that almost generic term to be strong enough? Considering the murders of World War II, you think that mere “bigotry” is a strong enough term to shield you from your own introspection?

So six million Jews were murdered because of a word as soft as “bigotry?” I don’t think you’ve thought this through.

Okay then, what word do you suggest for an adjective that describes hatred for a person because of their religion? Come on...the world awaits your response!

“...if Lincoln had, instead of insisting that new territories would be slave free, worked out another “Compromise” deal.”

Naw. There is more than a little difference between someone protesting an election and someone else committing an act of treason, proclaiming secession, and taking arms against the government — all in the name of keeping three million people in slavery.

No, by “less divisive” you mean that a 96-year old president would have sided with the slave states and therefore you get to keep the American system of slavery you’re in favor of. Pretending that Lincoln or Jackson would have been the same if they’d only been different, or would have been different, had they only

Lincoln wasn’t president when the southern states started seceding. He didn’t refuse to “do deals.” The southern states went into a blind panic because they thought they weren’t going to have things all their own way any longer.

I think Trump knows that Jackson owned slaves, and the envy of knowing that Jackson had something he can’t have gnaws at his liver, day after day.

So then you’re not only in favor of American slavery, but you feel that it should have spread to the free states, the territories, and the Caribbean?

By “less divisive,” of course, you mean that you agree with Jackson’s views. That’s not what divisive means.

Gonna really be funny when all these right-wing Congressmen find out that white hair dye causes brain cancer. Ah, well...all part of god’s plan.

There is a world of difference between “officers heard gunshots” and “officers said they heard gunshots.” The second one is true. The first...well, you claimed “nobody” knows, but then you throw that “officers heard” crap on the wall to make it seem that you know the one revealed truth. In short, nobody here or in

Ouch. (You may be right.)

You’d think a team that is overwhelmed by injuries year after year would at some point ask itself, “Maybe we’re not doing this right?” But not my Mets. Glug.

It’s amazing how many of Trump’s rabid online supporters are suddenly not posting any longer, or when they do, always preface their remarks with, “I’m not a Trump supporter/I didn’t vote for Trump, but...”
