Everything he said is probably true, but Rogers is going to have to deal with a weak Canadian Dollar. MLB contracts are priced in USD, I think, and the CAD is at like a multi-year low against the USD. That makes it about 35% harder for the Jays to match most US offers.

This is just horrible. I’m not religious but it makes me feel a tiny bit less worse that maybe he can find some inner peace, in time, if he believes that she is in a better place. That article was hard to read before, now it’s even worse.

Actually I think she was referring to the likely scenario where her children’s tuition bills are high because of other people who default on student loans (living off the system) make her unassisted tuition payments high. It’s actually very consistent if you consider an alternative context.
