Question from a guy that doesn’t know tech stuff - FO3 crashed and froze all the damn time, especially when the game file became so big. Is this going to happen again?

I have a question. I loved Fallout 3 but am not a hardcore gamer. Is Fallout 4 enough like Fallout 3 where I can get it? Or is it like a huge leap and will leave me behind as a late 30s old man?
