I’m not so sure about this. We had this debate in our Law and Race class in law school. Open dialogue is what is needed, not a situation where dialogue is shut off.

“Yup, I remember that.”

Not necessarily a number of athletes that couldn't be handled. The programs do test at national and international meets (so lots of people who make prelims/semifinals/finals/medalists), but it is especially stringent for anyone on the National “A” or “B” teams. Which generally encompasses most of the people who make

Well, USA Swimming sets a pretty high standard in doping control. Not only keeping samples on file for many many years, but national team and up, you have to keep records on file of where you will be on any given day. Deviations, you have to let agency know—even a miss of testing can count as a fail.

Begone, Trolly McTrollerson. I wouldn’t deny that many sports have doping problems (i.e USTF, international swimmers, etc.).

Nah. Generally not. USA Swimming anti-doping is very strict and stringent. Not only do they keep many samples on file, they test very often—you’re basically fucked if you miss one test. And the testers need to know where you are at any given time during the year for a surprise pee-test. That’s why the USA is pretty

Best athlete in the world, bar none.

^This guy gets it.

What is it with the amount of conservatives that like to spout gutter language up and down the block when they try and make an attempt at educated conversation?

You can say whatever you’d like. Also, *brainwashed. I didn’t say anyone who disagrees with me is a paid GOP Troll, Mr. Strawman.

Hi, King of False Equivalencies!

I mean, of course GOP trolls and idiots will be out in full force defending him. Because after all, they’d have their “Gay Who Dates Black Men ‘friend’” they can support in order to pretend they give a crap about equal rights...

Just absolutely horrific. Abso-fucking-lutely boils my blood. Twitter needs to clean up its act with trolls and people who do the fake screen-capping stuff and all that. Not to mention the huge legal issues that could come from it...just terrible human beings who barely qualify for the word, if they do at all.

I hate to say this, given the subject matter, but I also love watching Fox cronies implode:

A vapid airhead model plagiarized a speech? I cannot say I’m surprised.

“Of course he’s gonna shoot at them.”

I can’t say, necessarily, that I agree with the premise of the article. I am all for incorporation of diversity when it comes to, for example, right to an education, and a good one at that, and the admissions process taking that into account, as we saw in Grutter v. Bollinger.

You just became my favorite Jezebel writer, if not for the love of Calvin Harris, but the fact that you’re willing to take shots at the ridiculous facade of T-Swift.

Ah, the logical fallacy argument. Good one!

Because the actions of one or two knuckleheads should not detract from a majority of an organization.
