What a lucky turn of fortune that Meyer won’t have to miss any important conference games.

In related news, Dan Synder’s first name is actually pronounced “Fuckhead”

or that time the Wilpons got 12% returns on their investment year after year!

Thanks!  I also speak jive.

Here, I’m a lawyer, so let me translate this into English:

both Loh and Evans denied having ever personally witnessed the type of “toxic” behavior detailed by ESPN’s initial report.

As a Maryland season ticket holder (haven’t missed a home game in almost 20 years), these reports make me sick to my stomach. Unless he can somehow prove that these reports are a compete fabrication (they arent), durkin and the strength and conditioning staff should be out on their ass. I get that this macho bullshit

Was Pete really that averse to taking it to the rim?

I’m not going to get worked up over anything less than balderdash and/or humbug.

Intermittent poppycock with scattered shenanigans & a slight chance of tomfoolery.

If Johnny keeps sucking like this he’s going to be sent back down to the Browns.

Considering how interesting he made an empty warehouse, I would watch any sport Antoine Dangerfield commentated.

So Trump is DEFINITELY going to go to this warehouse and make some speech about animals destroying our amazing economy and how these workers should be lynched (but not in a racist way). Meanwhile, Democrats will wring their hands and say they support the message of the workers but not the incivility of walking out on

If you want to anger Mike Pence, form a union.

I never would have imagined someone named Hiram de Fries would turn out to be a villain.

My biggest live sports regret was actually showing up to the 2008 game between the 4-11 Browns and 3-11 Bengals game. The final score was 14-0 and that actually over-states how interesting the game was - total of like 100 passing yards, approximately one actual drive on offense, and well below freezing in the stands.

Well said. What’s even worse is how successfully the NFL has brainwashed some of the fans who will argue with a straight face that Dez Bryant, Calvin Johnson, et al. didn’t actually “catch” those footballs.

The NFL hates judgement calls. They want everything to be black and white which is an impractical, but noble goal.  It is one reason they have overdeveloped the Catch Rule into the mess it is today. So this:

The more and more arcane this gets, the more I think all of the “what’s an illegal hit?” conversations can be solved by just forcing players to wrap tackle a la rugby. A little less sexy, yes, but definitely easier to implement and understand.

Per my understanding of most professional sports but specificallly MLB, each team has a pretty extensive media staff, much of whom are dedicated to social media. How hard is it for one of these staffers, or even an intern to look at the roster, go through each player’s social media accounts and comb for nonsense like
