Dying is dying. Once you're dead, it hardly matters how you got there.

I left out the answer. It's not harder by many factors of ten. I cannot say exactly, but clearly we have a problem here on Earth with "terraforming." The practical cost, given the proclivities of people and corporations, is enormous. Reclaiming new desert back to productive land is costly. And so it goes.

Except that we have billions of people here and thousands of corporations doing the exact opposite every day. "Terraforming" Earth is easy. Just stop using technology. Stop seeking "better" lifestyle. Eat only local food. Stop driving — anywhere. Stop wasting energy.

Add a few facts to the generalizations of the video.

Terraforming Mars would require around 600 million tons of oxygen. Using known technologies, that would take more than a century, some say centuries (plural).
