Deadspin has one of the best collection of sports and feature writers I’ve ever read. If it dies by the hand of some idiot PE investors, I’ll be truly heartbroken.

I suspect a lot of us would express similar sentiments. I don’t want my ad revenue going to Great Hill any more, but I also have an incredibly hard time letting go of Deadspin and the writers I love. Hoping the next few days will present a better course of action for the commentariat crew 

Drew, is it true that neither Jim Spanfeller nor Paul Maidment ever had friends, a girlfriend, made any sports team, or has seen The Godfather? Is it also true that Jim smells like sweaty hobo taint and Paul smells like a urinal puck?

So is deadspin going to be shut down like Splinter? I mean they already cut their nose to spite their face with that one, this is cutting off your leg. No updates since yesterday, no fun bag, no world series piece, nothing.

A question for the Funbag: why should I keep reading anything on this website after Jim Spanfeller and Paul Maidment went to the lengths of firing Barry, like cowards, for the dumbest of reasons?
