I was coming down to the comments just to mention that.  It felt like there was more than the usual stylish details like that this week.

So, I’ll go ahead and say this.  Legends of Tomorrow is on a whole different level of quality from the rest of the CW shows. The first season has a lot of the same issues as the rest; its strength is in its cast, most of which are amazing, but the writing has a ton of flaws and the season just has problems.  Then

Sounds like someone is salty

Oh my god, I want that Ultra Violet and Blue Demon show right now

Um, have you been watching Legends of Tomorrow? Because they already did the Legion of Doom, complete with those headquarters.

Now playing

It had a pretty limited release, so I get why it’s not showing up on more lists like this, but Promare is my favorite movie of the year, genre or otherwise. In terms of best, I honestly think it’s tied with Jojo Rabbit and right ahead of Knives Out for best movie made this year.

Worse than average, probably not, but that’s still not necessarily good. I’ll say, thematically, the general outline wasn’t bad (scientists good, military bad), but a lot of the issues I had were in the execution. I wouldn’t call him comic relief, but the series of snarky one liners from Bradley Whitford’s character

Most of the best parts of Godzilla were Mothra-related. I’d honestly separately add the scene where Mothra emerges from her cacoon behind the waterfall while the Mothra theme plays and the camera reveals that there’s a second Zhang Ziyi because she’s the Mothra Twins to the Best Moments list.

I’d also add most of the

I’ve been going back through the games with all Bug teams, and it’s one: pretty fun, and two: by Gen III, it’s really not that hard.  As they started branching out in the dual typing for Bugs, a lot of options have opened up.  Plus Sun and Moon were extremely kind to Bug types with the addition of Golisopod and

The character was a recurring ally to Wally West in the 90's, so he definitely seems like a possible recurring role here.

Between Muppets and Planet, this movie has already been adapted perfectly

Okay, so I get where theoretically this is a tactic that makes sense. We also live in a world where this has been proven to not be necessary. Marvel made bank with a movie about a space team no one had heard of starring a tree and a talking raccoon. They set it in the same universe as all the rest of their

This is probably true, but also it hurts my soul to read in words

Mayling Ng’s Amazon died (in the trailer, I feel like this isn’t a spoiler), so she’s probably a new character.  If I was basing this off characters who’d been in the comics, I’d suggest Duchess, but they are clearly not limited to that.

I am 100% on board with Punch and Jewelee.  I read that Ostrander run and liked them okay, and then a few months later realized how much they’d grown on me when I saw them in another comic and felt like I was seeing an old friend again.  I love those two idiots.

Why can we not star articles?! This is wholly accurate and DC, possibly now more than ever, needs the gentle ribbing of Ambush Bug to take the piss out of their worst tendencies.

Avengers vs Megaguirus

He really would have, I miss him

I think that first one is supposed to be just John Henry, not John Henry Irons.  But Terry Crews as Steel would be awesome.

Probably just wishful thinking
