Thank you for this. A woman isn’t lacking in agency just because she’s making decisions you don’t agree with. I might concede that she’s in over her head, but to cast her as someone so blank that she can’t muster up the power to make her own decisions is a disservice to both her, and other women like her. You know, my SO told me about this, and I thought he was joking. (In my defense my SO didn’t know what specific day was being named a National Patriot Day, he helpfully suggested that it should be “the first Monday after the Super Bowl”). This is real life?? Making his own inauguration day a fucking holiday?? Even Kim…

Sadly true. This election taught me something that I did not know. We are extremely selfish. A majority of us do not care about a problem unless we are confronted with it in our daily lives and unable to empathize with others. It makes me horribly sad.

Unfortunately, it will take horror stories of women dying in back alleys again before the comfortable, insulated 54% of white women realize that voting against your interests is a real thing.

She wasn’t a tramp. It is sanctioned in those cases.
