The problem with that wheel is that it has a set time when you're expected to be in bed (somewhere around 9 PM it looks like), which is quite unrealistic for some people. If it could let you set a time when you go to sleep and a time when you wake up to get the optimal nap time, that'd be much more useful.

Gah! Of course, there's people like me that only want one home screen so customizable number is kinda necessary ;-)

Depending on where you are, here in the States, passing on the right is actually illegal in some states.

Ugh, people here in SW Ohio seem to think that the blinkers are an option in a car or something. To the point that I was going straight at a light once (crossing a major road, so admittedly most people were turning left or right) and was almost t-boned by someone who was making their left.

Welcome to the club! Definitely browse the wiki to get ideas, but several of the Android forums also have threads of what people have done with Tasker as well.

If it makes you feel better, I started with Locale too. Also, Tasker is compatible with Locale's plugins (most of them anyways), so it helps with the transition. My incentive to switch was actually the calendar event thing, especially since I can add meetings or movies or whatever into the same profile.

Generally, apps that require root require the access to suid which if root is disabled, that access is lost.

My kitchen has a door! It leads to the laundry room/utility room. Unfortunately, I have no pantry (or linen closet), so creative storage solutions are good. I'm just not too keen on storing some stuff in my utility room (which I luckily, have room for a pretty large shelving unit that I'm going to have paper

Whats the name? Gawker sites truncate Chrome Store links.

I went into buying my car with financing (from my credit union), and when the dealership asked what my rate was to try and claim better, they knew they could not. It was rather amusing and nice to not have to deal with that fight. Since I also went for a brand of car that doesn't haggle on the price of the car, I knew

Combining a couple of ideas already provided in the article, but after you brake before going into the turn, gently accelerate to get OUT of the turn. This works beautifully on dry roads too for the same reason: you're helping yourself keep traction.

Also, check out Start! ([chrome.google.com]). Can have one RSS feed (including a bundle from Google Reader), custom backdrop, access to bookmarks and webapps.

Tasker is one of my favorite Android apps. My work schedule is weird (I work every other weekend and don't work the Friday before and Tuesday after working the weekend, not including random holidays since there's only 2 of us on my shift). As a result, a straight time-based scheduler can have issues, but Tasker lets

Perfect! Thank you very much!

I get 'em all the time with Chrome with both NotScripts and ABP. Come to think of it though, I don't recall getting them terribly often in Google Reader, but FeedSquares has a ton. @dennis.g what reader do you use?

Same here. The initial 30 day delay was bad enough, but doable. Darn near 2 months? Screw that.

Hear hear!

For this instance, I'd give the thumbs up to Reddit before either Giz or LH, since the outrage appears to have started there and grew (understandably though).

Gotta love what handles look like when they're not on the plane we expect.

If you go into the extensions window, check developer tools and then click the "load unpacked extension button", does it work?
