The problem with that wheel is that it has a set time when you're expected to be in bed (somewhere around 9 PM it looks like), which is quite unrealistic for some people. If it could let you set a time when you go to sleep and a time when you wake up to get the optimal nap time, that'd be much more useful.

If it makes you feel better, I started with Locale too. Also, Tasker is compatible with Locale's plugins (most of them anyways), so it helps with the transition. Combining a couple of ideas already provided in the article, but after you brake before going into the turn, gently accelerate to get OUT of the turn. This works beautifully on dry roads too for the same reason: you're helping yourself keep traction.
