@OCEntertainment: Along those same lines, the D2 has been on version 2.3 of the OS since shortly after release, but of course, thats not Gingerbread.
On my Droid with Launcher Pro, I have 5 home screens. Far left has my tapatalk widget and one for controlling wi-fi (if it isn't already managed by Tasker). Next in is one widget (full screen), Scrolling News widget, which shows my favorite RSS feeds. My home screen has the time/data/weather and a small widget for…
@Dauthi: Yahoo Search has been powered by Bing for a while now (once it stopped being powered by Google).
@KyleUndefined: Considering we're not supposed to know that they were going to sunset it? Your guess is as good as anyone's (except a top exec at Yahoo of course).
@izikavazo: The intricate URL was killed a few years ago and went to straight out delicious.com.
@Michael Scrip: According to their site. They have a yearly fee if you want archival (aka cached) copies of bookmarks and that fee is $25, less the amount you paid for the initial signup (for the first year anyways).
@be1ge: Pinboard seems rather cool to me, though it does cost (and that cost is based on the number of members of the site itself).
@MPS: That was the best part about using Delicious, since so many of the start page extensions for Chrome expect you to have local bookmarks. That lovely folder gave the same functionality but yet access elsewhere at the same time.
@teh1andonlym0: Problem with Chrome Sync... if you use multiple accounts, you can't use it nor can you access your bookmarks from a computer that doesn't have Chrome installed.
@melliebellie: I actually used it too, before they went belly-up. However, they want everything to synchronize (great for backups, not so great when my personal bookmarks creep into my work bookmarks). I'm trying it again and having trouble creating a sync profile, so we'll see. I'm hoping once that is setup that…
Man, I had a delicious account and stopped using it, but then switched back to using it when I switched to Chrome. Losing it is going to be a pain, since I use it to bookmark something to read at home while I'm at work (and on 2 different Chrome accounts).
@Pashdut: I have an email client on my phone (k9) that allows me to display any of my mail accounts in a unified inbox. I'm sure I could configure Thunderbird to do so as well. This just means I have a similar setup on the web without having all the emails mixing together (so my job searching account and my spam…
@Webran61: Exactly what I was thinking actually.
@Weakskills: Not directly to the Android Market (yet), but you can use a website like appbrain.com to get the same effect (if you install their app on the phone).
@whoa: Because not everyone uses all 3 and the heart of the Android OS is choices for everybody?
For those (like me) who want to restore any of these buttons as a just in case, after one is hidden there's a "show button" link by that particular extension in the tools extensions window.
@Haneyg: Same with Stylish, I really don't care how many active scripts I have running, if the webpage looks different that is enough for me.
@devoidmeat: Its hard to believe the 2.3 rumor considering the D2 is on 2.3.x and running Froyo still.
