Testudo is only useful to deflect arrows or spears, the show hasn't shown them having to do that

I though he gave Stannis Storms End b/c it had a populace sympathetic to the Targaryens and only Stannis could handle it

I think it all made sufficient sense. Dany is an outside conqueror, she doesn't know the culture or the politics involved in the city. She was foolish to have so few troops with her, but you got to think most of them would be needed policing such a massive city

But the could have gone with someone just.. a few…inches taller… The problem is I've seen MArk Addy for a long time and he was never that sort of man Robert would have been

Yeah but Stannis would have executed Davos had she not intervened

It wasn't just the plantation owners fighting the North, now was it?

They're not bodyguards, they're soldiers who fight in a phalanx formation. Even in the books its mentioned they're not as strong as other men b/c they've been castrated

They're like the Greek phalanx or Roman Legions, they're unstoppable together, but separate they're far more vulnerable

Mark Addy is an inch shorter than 6 ft and when he was in his prime he was in Flinstones Viva Rock Vegas, so………

Now that I think about it, I DO like Renly's casting, and Robert's actor had the personality, just none of the physicallity

Stephen Dilane was so perfectly cast as Stannis( though I don't believe the same can be said for both of his brothers, especially the pudgy short guy who played Fred Flinstone!!) that I think he elevates the character even as the character is derailed.

I thought Lady Stoneheart was meant to bring Jon back

I would argue the one flaw in this episode was Karsi's death, just on how cliche it was and what a waste of character. This show really could do with another badass female character like that

To speed up the poison and show him up b/c he was cocky?

I think there's something empowering about her using her sexuality to hasten his potential demise, if you squint hard enough…

I read that Dorne scene as Tyrene trying to get the poison flowing through Bronn's bloodstream faster

I heard the bullets in the plane conversation, but not about the lost girl, is there a link to it on youtube?

Yes

I honestly thought Theon was just going to start wailing like a baby, causing Ramsay to get pissed and beat the hell out of him while Sansa watched and thereby postpone the 'consummation'…… Yup, I was praying for anything at that point…

I'm really psyching myself up too much whenever Ramsay or Myranda show up, I thought for sure she would show Sansa her mother's corpse or something…
