I find this scene to be the best in the comic and the movie. JEH did a great job in delivering the power and emotion behind this scene. It wasn't even really a sacrifice, it was murder. Rorschach had to do what he had to do, and if someone was going to stop him in his tracks, then so be it.

Both endings were horrible, in comparison to the book. It's called "I am Legend" for a reason, and the way he goes out in the book holds much more significance and meaning. The studios interfered by veering from that ending, which completely missed the point.
