Nope. Schools librarians at the very least need to have a media specialist certification and teaching credentials. It depends on the state. It’s required for school accreditation.

Also would like to point out that there are right wing social influencers organizing protests, who are not affiliated with school districts, but are just stirring the pot for political theater.

I really think the Texas GOP thinks if they outlaw something it will just magically go away. Outlaw abortion and no woman in Texas will ever have one. Outlaw protections for LBGTQI folks and they’ll just magically decide to be straight and cis.  

The point being that even if Obama had been born in Kenya, he would still retain American citizenship through his mother, and thus be eligible to run for President.
