Are they intentionally driving it poorly?

I’m shocked at how rational this is. I kept waiting for the implementation of goblins, or tapioca pudding injectors, or something.

Better yet: Scrap the entire thing, fire 90% of TSA, replace the security line with a single air marshal on every flight and a small number of agents pulling people aside for random or not-so-random searches.

Nothing, except molest us, our children, and steal our shit.

How about just no TSA and go back to what it was before with just metal detectors. Why do we need the TSA? What have they done for us?

Do any updates involve Gmail reducing its memory usage? That’s a feature I could get behind.

You can if you’re not living in 1880s Tombstone.

He caused that second situation and you think that should scare him into needing protection? HE CAUSED IT.

I don’t really know very much about this family, but for some reason what I do know of Kris Jenner is it possible that she arranged for the whole child/cheating thing to happen within 48 hours of each other? For ratings? Or, is my mind just rattled with conspiracy theories because I read too many political tweets.

IMO the driver was to blame. He knew that particular stretch of road has issues for autopilot. He should have not used autopilot for that part of the drive. Ultimately, you are the owner/driver of the vehicle. Your life is in your hands. That’s what I was taught in life - you are your own destiny & responisibility.

Ah! The Italian Method!

This is how I’ve generally been getting to work the past 20+ years.

Or drive a Camaro.

I find these are the same people who wear hoods in their car in the winter. Great way to remove all peripheral vision. Just wear a hat, it accomplishes the same as a hood

See, though, I don’t think that qualifies as “inattentive” driving, necessarily. I’m of the opinion that driving becomes an instinctive activity, as long as you’re staying heads up and eyes out. You can drive, follow the road, stay in the lines, and process/deal with simple traffic without really having to *think*

Cars are too comfortable, reliable, and don’t require as much user input any more. For most, it’s get behind the wheel, set the cruise control, and then sit back, relax, and steer.

...mindlessness, inattention...

no one is tackling some of the biggest killers on America’s roads—mindlessness, inattention and boredom.

Remove speed limits. Slowest person on the highway gets entered in the Hunger Games. Boom: No more day-dreaming inattention.
