Totally. The X-Men are popular today not because of anything Stan or Jack did, but because of what Chris Claremont and his subsequent collaborators did (there’s a reason the original X-Men got cancelled).
What bugs me about all the debate about Lee, Kirby and Ditko is that it ignores the fact that these characters may have been created by them but dozens of other artists and writers have contributed to forming these characters. Some way more then these three.
