Where does students matter $$ come from? A direct attack on tenure of teachers instead of the distribution of the teachers and funding seem like a strange move for a group hoping to make schools better

Or, you know, we could just place people who are not racist in positions of power over school districts...

I think that’s okay to say when you are talking about creative projects. Obviously you’ve got to pay the bills, but it is possible to say, “I’d rather bust my butt at a day job than work on a show with these schmucks.”

Was she supposed to note that or something?

Speaking as a filmmaker, I hate, hate, hate it when fellow filmmakers use the “we’re telling a story” as a crutch for every decision they make, and a bullwark against every criticism. Not enough blacks in your movie? “Well we’re trying to tell a story...” The women in your movie are reductive caricatures with no lives

Has Matt Damon weighed in on this casting issue yet?

I don’t know that white people can’t necessarily tell the stories of people of color, just as I know talented men can tell women’s stories and get it right.

Dear FDR:

Your problem is that you have too many friends. I don’t know 26 people well enough to be invited to their weddings. It’s cheaper that way.

My grandmother died in 2003 at the age of 100. Since she lived a good portion of her life before major vaccines were introduced, I wonder what her reaction would be if I could tell her that people are actively against getting their children immunized.

As a mom of a child with autism I find it mind-boggling that parents of non neurotypical kids jump on the anti-vax wagon. Because the message of the whole movement is: “It’s better to risk the life of your child than to wind up with one with autism”. It’s so unbelievably disloyal to your children. My son is perfect

My thing about the anti vaxxers are that most of them already have the vaccines in their systems and turned out fine. Now they are just condemning their children to horrifying diseases because of some weird fear of autism which can be proven didn’t happen to them upon receiving their vaccines.

Yeah...

I read a couple other articles on this and the one thing none of them explain is why/how she ended up where she was. She was supposedly driving from Tuscon to Phoenix, yet ended up 100s of miles away in a different direction. As they don’t say she was going somewhere else first, I’m wondering if she took the wrong

Yeah, and leaving the car? Which was then found days before her? Doesn’t sound like every decision made was a wise one.

Undoubtedly, but she seems to have made a number of poor choices. Running out of gas, leaving the car/road, wandering into the desert, getting lost, losing her dog...

If you’re looking for tales of survival, I’ll have you know that I did not have any coffee today. That’s right: I am completely caffeine-free and still conscious.

if she was so freaking wise, how is it that she did not have a full tank of gas when she headed into the remote area, alone, with her pets? I mean, I am glad the story ended ok - but how does it end with her touting her wisdom?

Note how the cat didn’t even leave the car.

Okay, so this Katie Holmes/Jamie Foxx thing. Have these two people been a room together for longer than 10 minutes?
