I’m not sure I understand the Sanders as anti-establishment candidate. He’s been in Congress for 25 years, since 1991 and spent the previous 10 years as mayor of Burlington, VT. He has been in politics for 35+ years. If that is not the very definition of political establishment I don’t know what is.

It’s pretty similar to what happned with Planned Parenthood. He sang their praises while he was courting their endorsement, then when PP endorsed Hillary, he had the gall to dismiss them as “the establishment.”

I agree. I appreciated that he wants to highlight the injustices of the world, but he seems to want to ignore how the world actually works. Like he wouldn’t do the same fundraiser if given the chance. He’s so fucking high on his own message that he’s starting to come across as an egoist. Its exhausting.

Sanders is gull of contradictions. He claims to be about equality, but has no women in the top paid positions in the campaign. He claims to be about the people but the reality is very different. I haven’t seen Sanders comment on how his wins have mainly come from the caucus system, caucuses majorly disenfranchise…

Also, money is not inherently bad. It’s part of how the system works. Sometimes it corrupts, but not *always*. Congress got even worse when earmarks went away, because negotiation got that much more difficult. Money can also help a lot of people.
