I love my country.

I didn't contribute to their ratings and I probably never will again. Same with the Grammys. They're just award ceremonies that mostly reward white people, whether they're truly talented or not, and then that one thing happens that everyone talks about the next day. *yawn*

Hugh Jackman's hosting gig was the best though. The opening number was PERFECTION.

Unless people switched channels mid-show in droves, this was certainly not on NPH. This year's AA lacked in drama beforehand. All the favorites actually won and everybody seemed to have guessed it in advance. There was no nomination record setting movie, no rivalries, no controvery before the show except for the lack

That was my understanding as well, so I'm not getting all the hate.

thats how I understood what she said, and was shocked when people were getting their panties twisted.

Yeah, I'm disappointed that this is the take-away—it seems like a really convenient reason for people to disagree that the wage gap is a real issue that needs to be worked on. It seemed to me that the point is that we're stronger when we work together for justice—when those interested in LGBT rights, racial justice,

exactly I don't think people realize who her sister is and what Patricia has done.

That's the way I interpreted it that she's calling on men of color and gay men to fight for women.

Considering that her sister is a trans-woman and she has been very active in the LGBT community, I really don't think her intention was to exclude anyone from the label of "women". If I say "all women", I certainly am thinking of more than just white ones. To me, she was saying all communities- including women- need

I'm just hoping that Arquette misspoke, and was talking about having gay men and men of color help support women (including not just straight white cis women, but also queer women and WoC) in the ongoing struggle for gender equality. Because if we're talking about the gender pay gap, it's WoC who are affected by it

Riiiight because rich women don't know anything about wage inequality. Different pay grades does not equal wage inequality.

It's off-topic, but "Sniper Gets Snubbed" makes me happy. That mess winning would have HURT.

He's 77 years old. Eventually, he'll go away forever.

"It was a well-kept secret that Bill fucked everything that moved."

For people like Eddie Murphy to stop worrying about poor widdle Billy's "bruised ego" and refusing to "kick a [rapist] when he's down"—and start caring exponentially more about the damage he has caused, the harm he has inflicted upon his victims, and if/when BC will own up to being a rapist.

Cosby lost his "clean" image when he was on the Playboy Club show (I believe this aired in the mid-to-late 1960s.) While I know that there were plenty of other comedians that played there, none of them seemed to be as "squeaky clean" (and inordinately proud of that cleanness) than Cosby.

So what, ultimately, needs to happen to have Bill Cosby go away for awhile?

Dear Jennifer Lee...........

Bill Cosby didn't need to swear to be funny — or assault women.
