Like many films shown at TIFF the purpose was to find a distributor. Not sure if it’s gotten any bites yet, but it’s still scheduled to be shown at other film festivals.
TIFF dropped this movie instantly after getting a cease and desist letter. It sounds like WB got what they wanted without having to spend time in a court room.
