This is infuriating.  I’m 51, with a 20 year old daughter.  I would NEVER want her to face the realities of the work places of the past.  EVER.  Why would someone be so selfish as to complain that the younger generations might have something better?

I’m a Gen X, I’m 51, I’ve lived on communes and in urban coops (communes in the city)—and I live in a state that has a lot of communes, including womyn’s land.

I’m also the mother of a 20 year old woman.

Weren’t the cases limited to the MidWest, indicating a possible common supply or brand in use?

I think the survey results are skewed—I don’t know many parents who believe their kids are going to make money from their out of school activities—and lumping the parents who said maybe kids might earn money from activities related to extra curriculars into the yes they will earn money from extra curriculars also…

The benefit of a stand mixer starts to change once you get attachments. We grind our own meat—and while I’m not ever going to make my own sausages, the meat grinding attachment came with the attachments to make sausages as well.
