Ugh not near as dbaggish as Bieber though.

I didn’t either. Looked too much like neighborhood boys riding dirt bikes.

It was the era. Reasonable body hair on men was considered ideal back then, perhaps synonymous with virility and masculinity. In fact, Baio gets negative points for not having chest hair and a treasure trail.

Blasphemer! That’s Leif Erickson!

Yeah somehow I missed that oh so many years ago. I’m baffled now that I didn’t see it!

Only those of us who remember the Osmonds truly know how awesome this comment is. :)

We call this part of the conversations, “When Olds Remember...”

Hubs has to step up, or both of you are going to have to be ok with the things that unravel. :) I know for some people that is easier to do than others, but it’s that piece of figuring out the limits of what we can actually change.

Awwww honey you can just ask for a meal train! Then offer to do the same for someone else.

This is interesting in that I don’t typically think of a standard Oregon “dish”, but instead we have a style of eating—the state is heavy on temperate agriculture (so no locally grown avocados, citrus or pomegranates) and we love our fresh meat, seafood, shellfish, fruits and vegetables. Oh fantastic! So glad to hear this!

Yes! And if you can set aside any money for at least one massage for yourself before you give birth—it can give you at least an hour of peace.

Even then, in some cases, experienced people might not know they have pushed too far to fast until they are already injured—I’m glad that didn’t happen to

Start asking for help. And get someone, anyone to set up a meal train for at least first 2 weeks after baby is born.

I am curious—for those who breastfeed and have lots of prolactin circulating multiple times a day—I seem to recall that has a profound relaxing affect, would that in any way prolong the presence of relaxin?

I really appreciate that you posted this article—it’s something few people talk about.

It’s true that there are exercise sequences that can help, both during pregnancy and after—you’ll notice I’m not saying workout. I think here in the US we have some preconceived ideas about that word, and we actually need to be cautioning new moms about things like diastasis recti and prolapse risks.

Thank you for this! One thing I wanted to add is that while you won’t be protected from all risk of postpartum diastasis recti occurring, one thing that can help prevent this is to make sure you take postpartum convalescence seriously.

Thank you for mentioning milk. Cheese and sour cream can also have the same impact.
