But in this case: she’s not holding him back.

I’m a Ms. and you are more than welcome to call me Butter. :)
I unstarred just so I could restar. Love it.
Huh, what I’m taking from your comment is that it would be better for the rest of us if you don’t contribute to the gene pool. But you know, to each their own.
Woman was trying to travel with what looked like twin toddlers/babies—one in a car seat, one in her arms, and an older child. I can only imagine how tired she is in general, and then to have Douchey McDoucheface wrestle the stroller away from her after she was told by a different flight attendant that she could try…
I am curious if the Great Depression was actually responsible for some of the Jiffy Mix products? That would explain the horrible frosting, for instance.
This is so incredibly heartbreaking—and I cannot even understand when you are a Christian doctor and you feel it’s God’s mandate for you to ease the suffering of the sick, what it must be like to look across the table at a so-called Christian who has it in his power to take action for the good, and declines to do so.
Mexican American and grew up eating rice—but not with the wonderful suggestions here! I’m excited to try adding new things beyond tamari, brewer’s yeast, or sesame seeds! Thanks for this!
Yeah between that and the subscription fee to sign up—not quite sure I would value this particular expense.
After years of working in front of computer screens, I have profound dry eye—because of this I can’t use mascaras with alcohol or they exacerbate my dry eye.
I never saw Testament, but I did see Day After! I was a high schooler living in south central Alaska at the time (where I grew up), and yeah, it was disconcerting because we knew we were so damn close to the then USSR. North Korea wasn’t even on our radar because of greater cultivated enmity with the USSR.
Having done it both ways—I think if the assumption with paint/dye is that no prep or supervision is needed, well sure, it can get messy. I grew up with regular food-color based dyes and oddly enough, the correct prep creates a stress free environment.
Waldorf School family? Been there. We didn’t do the natural dyes, I thought they were too time consuming and unreliable in terms of results.
Say those last 3 words slowly, “compete...with...airlines” and you know why “hatred” of bullet trains exists.
I much prefer PlanToEat to Paprika. It does some rather predictive guesswork about categorizations, and I’ve rarely had these be incorrect. Because it’s browser based, I’m using the same bookmarklet feature Paprika has, and I don’t have to buy multiple licenses—just a single subscription.
If you are looking for that feature, please try PlanToEat. I have loads of saved recipes from NYT; once I import to PlanToEat, there is no subsequent login, no paywall announcement, etc.
That’s an interesting perspective—I’m biracial Mexican American and have lamented a more recent move away from Latino storytelling in media (that doesn’t involve Latinos as criminals). We aren’t actually a unified cohesive group, witness voting demographics in the recent election, with Cubans skewing toward Trump.
That was the story Lewis Tan (who played the drunken master and effectively owned the entire 8th episode with his less than 2 minutes of screen time) had tried to pitch—and it’s the one I would have loved to see. Lewis Tan himself is AmerAsian.
What I’m specifically worried about are Democrats who decide they are not going to necessarily caucus, such as Democrat Tobias Read deciding to proceed with the sale of the Elliott at all costs—Republican Richardson actually suggested this was a bad idea because the going price was way too low!
As an Oregon resident, I respectfully disagree that the suggested initiatives are unlikely to pass. With Republican Secretary of State Dennis Richardson poised to review redistricting with 4 Republicans, 1 Democrat, 1 Independent, 1 Progressive Party, and 1 Green Party, in a state with an overwhelming majority of…
